Volunteers? That's shady as hell. How much can you "use" them before they got bored and eventually sue you for tyrany on set?
Hopefully, OP, you have experience with cameras, editing, sound editing, composing, etc, right?
Sure. Its an extremely tight budget but just write out the script properly Find a location that you can use cheap or for free. Figure out how to frame all the scenes before you get everyone on set but be prepared to improvise because of unforseen circumstances like random clutter taking more space than you expected. Don't attempt any long takes. Don't think too much about realistic lighting, just make the things that you want to be lit in the frame to be lit for the camera. Get everyone some food, coffee and cold bottled water. Enjoy learning about all the things that can go wrong despite your best efforts.

Interesting I'm in the same boat, I put aside 10k too but I have someone who wants to invest another 10k (but I don't know how serious they are) and I have reserve funds if something goes wrong.
I'm writing/acting, my buddy who's made some short films is directing, I'm filming guerilla style in abandoned locations so that'll be cool, my only real issue is audio I need good equipment and a good sound guy who knows what he's doing.

Plan plan plan. Have your actors rehearse a ton without the camera rolling too. The hardest thing for cheaper films today is not making it look cheap. Tubi is flooded with awful looking movies. Make yours look and feel like film. Figure that out before entering production.
