David Simon made this series after The Wire because critics accused him of glorifying crime and making Baltimore look bad. Treme takes place in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and it's a community focused tv series. It celebrates New Orleans music, food, history but it doesn't shy away from the corruption and crime either. Interesting series because I can't think of another tv show quite like it.

Unless you are fucking with me, those are just Oak trees (prob Live Oak trees) with Spanish moss (the greenish/grayish things that look like hair hanging off of them). btw, spanish moss looks cool, but it is full of bugs ... little red ones that get all over you if you try to collect some of the moss.
