I have read some of the comics, just not Ultimate Fantastic 4. Was planning on reading more but the Nerds are freaking gatekeepers when it comes to mainstream stuff like Marvel and DC. I buy more Manga these days instead of Marvel and DC, and if I go buy Western comic books, it's usually the Indie stuff, especially the ones I have read on comic pirate sites. And I am planning on buying the physical versions of the comic books I read on comic pirate sites.

Also, you forget that a lot of DC and Marvel comics have been turned into cartoons back in the 90s and 2000s. So e en if people have not read the comics, they have been introduced to these superheroes by way of animation. Even Fantastic 4 has had their own animated series with a catchy intro music.
