I'm not exactly happy with this one yet. because Indian reviews are not to be trusted, I've pretty much just been skipping any directors/films that look "too Bollywood", but I don't think that's exactly fair. when I eventually make it to the US, I'm not going to skip all Hollywood films because I know there are good films out there mixed in with all the slop, and I feel it's probably similar with Bollywood. my only problem is, while I'm familiar with Hollywood and know which directors/films should be included, the same cannot be said for Bollywood and I don't know how to separate the actual good Bollywood films from the ones that are just highly rated by Indians because they rate practically everything highly. so I could really use some help from anyone that has even a passing knowledge of Bollywood cinema. who should I add/remove?

I was there the night Bookum and Boocum had their fatal demise. Doing Bergman chronologically is such a joyride... Just seeing his style evolve from the soulful 'working class' romantic dramas of Monika and Summer Interlude, to the refined Euro-existentialism of Seventh Seal & Strawberries, to the proto-Lynch nightmare dynamics of Persona and Hour of the Wolf.
