>>212021820I was on /mu/ around 2011-13, I don't even know if ITAOTS-posting is still going on but I just kind of got sick of the snobby hostility and moved to /tv/ where everybody was just baneposting 24/7

Its hard to believe now but nobody on 4chan used "incel" at the time it was already all over reddit. Everytime some redditor tried to blend in with his "edgy internet lingo" he was caught immediately . They would always react so confused lol "h-h-how did they see through my disguise so fast??"
Nowadays 'incel' has been used on the mainstream fucking news and finally found it's way to 4 chan as well. No more 100% effective reddit detectors in thos day and age :(

I'm a 2011 newfag. my first 4chan experience was fapping to trap threads on /b/.
This place used to be super fucking edgy and pretentious and Iโm kind of glad weโve moved on from that. Iโd say edgy elitist era 4chan peaked in 2019 on places like /lit/ but here too. /mu/ was also still relevant back then.
Really though? I wasted my life here when I would have been better off spending my time on the more normie platforms. I made a bunch of accounts on those sites this year because I was *stalking some chick* and thereโs actually a lot of creativity and epic maydays on those places. Only thing is, Iโd rather stay anonymous than talk to real people for the most part.

Before Gamergate ever happened there was like one week of "Hey everyone, look at this website! What a vile hive of scum and villainy!" on mainstream US news, and suddenly retards started to swarm 4ch. Seeing the facetious humour and shitposting, and believing themselves to be in like company, they piled on with sincerity until the good humour was squashed out and now every other hobby thread is just an extension of /b/. There used to be real discourse on 4ch behind the 'lmao get rekt faggots.'

It was so much fun coming together with the board when Weaver showed up and all interacting with this silly little story together. when /v/ was the centre of 4chan culture and was a lot more permissive of off-topic threads , gamer gate , console wars , chad warden, that kind of thing . I acn't remember the exact year but probably around 2008
/tv/ has had some good times too during the era of abatap, saetre, durn to yah, cunny posters and a wide variety of forced memes.
Bane and sneed reduced the diversity of forced memes on /tv/ unfortunately.
The last great send off was the /tv/ suicide squad trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHlI3AKWRwE
