They say zoomers dislike sex scenes because they're puritan and incels, but I think the main problem is that modern sex scenes are total complete shit. No passion whatsoever, the subtlety of a hammer, the act is treated cynically, need to have them for shock value, not because the story requires them, and actors act accordingly. Even actual porn movies have more intimacy these days. Sex scenes in old movies don't produce this revulsion in me, but zoomers don't watch old movies so they don't know and think all sex scenes are bad.

Because sex scenes adds nothing to either the story or character development. Sex scenes and nudity was added to movies because studio heads knew it would get people into theatres to watch actresses X tits or ass. Modern film makers and critics have somehow managed to twist this fact into some "sex scenes in movies is peak mature filmmaking and a natural part of human existence that needs to be reflected in art"

If they really want to follow this train of thought to it's logical conclusion, then we should have 5 minute scenes of actors taking a huge, stinking shit and having to wipe 8 times because it was so damn messy, but they wont.

I dont watch movies to see my own mundanity reflected back at me, I watch movies to be entertained, to be moved, to have an experience I otherwise wouldnt have had. lackluster fucking sex I've had plenty, I dont need to waste my time watching other people have it.

I am Canadian which culturally is not so distant from our southern neighbours and it confounds me how things like breast feeding in public are controversial to them.
