>>212059233You misunderstand me, I mean how the behavioral instinct is actually predetermined genetically not why a selection pressure exists. Itโs one thing to have a fight or flight response, that seems pretty innate and obvious, but to have a biological wiring to compulsively block streams and openings is interesting from a mechanistic perspective. How are these fixed patterns encoded and what exactly is it encoding for to transfer this behavior across generations even in the absence of the stimulus and learning opportunities?
>>212067312I agree. As much as people like to believe science is objective and open it is very much a product of its society and all of its inherent biases. People donโt want to know certain things because the truth might be unwanted or uncomfortable. Cancelling James Watson was a fucking travesty.
Iโve noticed pit bull people often get upset when I disagree with their bullshit rationalization that โitโs not the dog itโs the ownerโ and they inevitably equate my opinion with being racist against blacks or that some races/populations are predisposed to unwanted behavior. Little do they know I believe this too.
