Depends what genre you are interested in. 50-60s was peak for the epic and for musicals. 80s-90s was the peak for action. Comedy never peaked because nothing is funny to the next generation
>>212071598 A lot of my personal favorites came out I. the 70s: Sóylent Green, Logan’s Run, The Towering Inferno, The French Connection, All the President’s Men, The Omega Man, etc
>>212072051 The movies that were popular in the 70s were dystopian sci fi, conspiracy, disaster, and exploitation. All that stuff is right up my alley.

50s had way too many excellent written dialogue films. 90s is too high. I would say the 30s as well. Blocking was way too poorly done then. Personally I can see why you'd rate the 70s so high but to me it's below the 80's 60s/50s/40s/80s/70s/90s/silent era/late20s+30s/>>>2000+ each year worse than the last
>>212071897 Towering Inferno is dogshit and you know it.

>>212072429 Thinking about it more 90s had a lot of good indie films and international stuff done. Harv was truly a hero on getting good shit released. Might just barely place it above the 70s

>>212071454 (OP) The 2000s were the last decent decade for film because it was the last decade most films were aimed at a first world audience latter decades of film are aimed at Indians and Africans so it's all dumbed down

So tired of pseuds pretending to like old movies. 1990s and 2000s are the best decades, easily.
