His Dark Knight Trilogy is pure kino. That said I have not watched anything even approaching kino from him post Dark Knight Returns and yes that includes interstellar.

it's just some Comics Code thing they forgot to drop even when the rules were relaxed. no idea why they kept it for THESE movies (it's not in the TV show, or any of the other movies).

I do like the idea of batman not wanting to kill for fear he wouldn't be able to stop but of course that's a thing that only works for one character, if you try and do multiple characters with the same thing it comes across as a lame excuse

batman has always been a gadget type hero.

Batman's black-and-white no killing rule is ACTUALLY because his childhood trauma led to undiagnosed autism.

In other news, Superman's 'S' is actually a Kryptonian symbol, and Power Girl's boob window is actually a hole representing that she has not yet attained a worthy emblem like Superman's.

he's like Jigsaw or Light Yagami. the fire killed them, they were just in its way.

This is true in the comics and cartoons but in the Nolan movies he's literally super down with killing Joe Chill until his oneitis tells him it's bad.
He doesn't even get cold feet about it, he literally would have killed him if Falcone hadn't gotten him first.
He also inadvertedly kills and lets a bunch of people die across the first two movies.

A billionaire dressed in a gimp suit fighting hobos while simultaneously being the bestest super duper at everything ever smartypants is by definition unrealistic.

i dunno, i think a lot of the uber-rich people end up on an altruism/philanthropy kick while also being above the law.

Bill Gates thinks he's doing the right thing and helping people, Elon Musk probably does too. only unrealistic parts = sci-fi gadgets, lack of fear of death/getting caught.

Correct.
Realism is a label stuck by critics. He always mentioned these batman movies adheres to a logic of practicability and that's the obvious nature of these films. By being consistent with this tone, they are relatable.

Batman's autism always made him ridiculous to me. It's why I preferred Iron Man the moment I found out about him through the 90s show. Batman's got aesthetics, but his actual character is retarded. Iron Man is like Batman but actually "logical" (within the confines of a cape story) and more stable.

"altruism/philanthropy"

I think they do that shit to pay less taxes.

The only billionaire who does charity work to actually help people is J.K. Rowling and she lost money and ended up out of the billionaire list.
