Nolan is such a brainlet. The Odyssey is set in the Mycenaean Bronze Age, around 1200 BCE, classical sculptures like thus were around 450–400 BCE. That's a 750-year difference. Its like making a movie about the Viking Age and giving the Vikings Napoleonic uniforms and muskets, or having Renaissance art in a Charlemagne film.

I've always had a good time seeing his movies in theaters. I think that's the only way you can enjoy most of them. Dunkirk was especially good this way, but was also a massive ear rape.
