He's kind of frustrating in how good he can be, but absolutely shits the bed at other times. for instance, The Birth Of Doctor Manhattan sequence in watchmen is leagues above what so many other directors are putting out, but its kind of hindered by the rest of the film. he should be picking up shitloads of indie short stories and doing that kind of schtick with them.

He needs the BvS team with him, he's a great visual director and can make great storyboard and translate them into cinema BUT never let him touch DoP or script without a 'tard wrangler
