All universities cost the same in UK and in the USA the top ones are near free for people from shit or even average backgrounds since they have an incredibly generous scholarship system. I don’t really think that is an issue desu. I would say the only unique issue with the top ones here is that oxbridge terms are very short which will make holidays even more suicide inducing than normal for really disadvantaged people who will have to stay there alone.
I don’t think race should be a factor really but when I hear some Asian or upper class whitey moan about it they need to realise that even without AA they’ve had it 1,000x easier in life.

In uk there are private schools you have to pay for but they make it much easier to do well, there are also grammar schools which are basically the same but free and admission is on academic merit and comp schools which vary massively.
I was in one of few parts of the country where everyone sits grammar exam by default, did well but they didn’t send me to a grammar school. In fact they didn’t even send me to the best comprehensive or even a good one, just some random one which was closest.
When I have kids I will put serious thought into this but many low income people just don’t give a fuck.
