I always enjoyed watching this with my brother when we’d come home from college around the late 2000s and early 2010s. The history part in the first half of every episode was always more entertaining than the spooky latter half.

Truly was. Believe it or not, but this dude still has money and arranged the hitman for Aaron's wife using his secret cell phone. Obviously, being in prison, he couldn't properly vet the hitman and that's how they got stuck with an undercover agent.

Was his motivation "love"? Or did he just want to murder again? Prior to this, he showed no emotion for killing his family. And even laughed a couple times while being interviewed about it.

Most ghost hunting shows are retarded. The most retarded host is Zak Bagans (sp?). That guy is actually retarded. I mean it, I think he's got some mental deficiency or something.
A few shows are not totally shit, but they usually have actual interesting historical bits to go with le spooky le ghost communication. Or hot female investigators. There's also one, can't remember the name of it, where they have 2 debunkers investigating the same place as the ghost hunters.
