It was pretty easy to tell that Gunn isn't willing to just suspend disbelief when it comes to Superman's disguise based on the fact that the movie starts with Lois already knowing who he is. Snyder did the same thing because they can't buy it that she would be fooled. They should just do what the comic does and have Lois sometimes be suspicious of Clark but he uses a robot duplicate to gaslight her.
Harold Allnut.
I hate known more trivia about stupid comics than the actual people known for writing it.
I have a friend who looks just like Conan o'Brien. People sometimes joke about it. But I don't think he actually is Conan o'Brien in disguise, I just think that he looks like him. He has a different accent and personality and a normal job and life and isn't a big celebrity
It's the same with Superman. Sure Clark Kent looks like Superman, but it's not like Superman is going around in a mask with everyone trying to figure out who he is. Superman is the big flying superhero guy and Clark Kent is the nerdy reporter who looks like him which is a funny coincidence.
>>212131925 (OP)Superman will make a billion dollars.
>>212133958Huh... i finally understand what weird photo with Henry and Amy. Why was Snyder so crazy about this show?
There's been a lot of explanations for Clark's disguise over the years, in some of them Superman has low level hypnosis powers, in others he has fine motor control and can actually change his facial features enough to throw people off.
>>212134025The original show is also why Lois was a redhead in MoS.

It's lame that in this movie Lois already knows, they should have saved that for the second film.

Of course if you think about it, sure someone has to pump the tires, just like someone has to change the bulb in the bat signal and someone has to pick up the garbage at Wayne Manor and a billion other things.

>Doesn't make sense.Makes perfect sense. I don't want to see one of my favorite characters ruined once again, that's all.
>You'll pay to see it because you want to know. I won't pay for it, and I won't watch it. I'll rewatch Donner's movies instead and then reread Last Son and Escape from Bizarro World.
>>212138049People like that stuff and they were successful. Superman will be the biggest comic movie of the summer no matter what. Billion dollars easily.
>>212134149Super Hypnotism goes all the way back to the Golden Age. Even pre dates Lore like Kryptonite. But Snyder Saars still going to try and jam the signal.
>>212138836You care too much. You're still posting and you'll post about Superman more and you'll do it in another thread and more threads every single day until and even after the movie premiers. LOL, you know that's true. And yet you pretend you're not going to see the movie and read old comics and watch your vhs in defiance of the new success.
I don't believe you. You're promoting the movie with each post and you're REALLY into this topic.
I have a life so I'm leaving now. But you won't. You'll be doing this for the whole fucking summer. Especially after it does so well after all the buzz you helped generate including your own purchased ticket. You're a HUGE incel, aren't you? You're Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. I read your posts in his voice.
Worst. Troll. Ever.
lol
See you at the theater, you fat ugly virgin faggot.
>>212138813It's because right now it's late night in America and mid day in India. The jeets come out at night. Hence, the Snyder fagging.
The Cricket threads over in Sports are probably pretty lively now too.

LOL, you know that's true.Yes, I like to shit on bad movies, just as I did with the sequel trilogy, The Wokelyte, and The Marvels. In fact, I haven't even watched the latter, I don't even have to watch terrible movies to post about them.
>And yet you pretend you're not going to see the movie I'm not pretending; I'm just boycotting this flick, as I did with Justice League, The Marvels, and many others before them. On July 11, I'll be rewatching Superman and Superman II (the Donner Cut), and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
>See you at the theater, you fat ugly virgin faggot.Maybe in another life. Btw, I'm 120 lbs and I consider myself quite attractive. And maybe I am a virgin, but I'm straight. You're probably projecting your own insecurities on me, otherwise I don't know why would you write that.

I think anyone who hires Nicholas Hoult in their movie doesn't know how to make proper movies.
>>212131925 (OP)>Did Johnathon and Martha Kent get Clark a social security number? >Does clark pay taxes?>Does he bother with his employee health insurance?>Does he leave his work attire laying around whenever he needs to swap to superman?>What does he do with his wallet and keys? There's no pockets on that suit.
>>212131925 (OP)The Morrison quote is a cope. The golden age was full of actual cartoon logic. Supes had a new power every week and none of it mattered. Last week his super breath defeated the fishlord this week he’s drowning because the story calls for it. Who cares right?
Well even the kids did care and the inconsistency was stupid so around the silver age they started to get more hardcoded canon. What can heroes do and what can’t they? Where do the powers come from? How do they work?
All that shit people then like to pretend is stupid comic book guy shit. It’s literally the dividing line between IT’S JUST A CARTOON and the semi serious crap every capeshitter is doing right now. Nobody can go back to the golden age no rules writing but they make appeals to it when they get tired of making shit make sense.
>>212140723>Did Johnathon and Martha Kent get Clark a social security number? Yes, they did.
>Does clark pay taxes?Of course he does.
>Does he bother with his employee health insurance?Probably so.
>Does he leave his work attire laying around whenever he needs to swap to superman?According to comics, he often hides it in trash cans.
>What does he do with his wallet and keys? There's no pockets on that suit.I guess he doesn't carry a wallet these days, he probably uses Apple Pay. His keys and iPhone probably stay in his work or civilian clothes.
Superman is so impressive, and Clark Kent is so meek and unassuming, that no one would even make the comparison.
There's literally no reason to over complicate this.
Imagine if like peak of his fame Arnold Schwarzenegger also had a secret life as a farm boy who arched his back, and wore goofy unflattering clothes, did his hair bad, had kind of a reputation of being a local idiot. No one would think "that's Arnold Schwarzenegger".

>>212132315Wouldn’t be the first time.
Remember when Superman had memory-erase kiss in the Reeves movies?
Remember in Returns when he knocked up Lois, then erased her memories, then had her raise his kid for years?
Superman is a creep.
>>212141603>in Returns when he knocked up Lois, then erased her memories, then had her raise his kid for yearswhat? she knew it was his.
>>212131925 (OP)Wouldn't it be pretty obvious if he wore those?
>>212132596Because you are a 'what do they eat' autist. That need for attention to detail is fine I suppose but you're always going to be dissapointed. A story has to be believable but this level of pedantry is pathetic.
>>212140836>Well even the kids did care and the inconsistency was stupid so around the silver age they started to get more hardcoded canon. What can heroes do and what can’t they? Where do the powers come from? How do they work?ESL? That has nothing to do with what Morrison said.
>>212136434Exactly, it was 100% performance and it worked
Gunn is a retard and I genuinely want his movie to tank
>>212142006But Superman doesn't have broccoli hair, how could he possibly be Clark Kent?

>>212138795>Nolan didn't write his Batman movies, Goyer did.Goyer also wrote MoS, yet Sneeder failed to turn that script into a good movie, despite being so vocal about his love of comics.
>>212131925 (OP)>the disguise in this comic book made for babies always bothered me
The whole reason the glasses work is because it’s absurd. Why the fuck would Superman pretend to be a working joe? Doesn’t make any sense. You just wouldn’t believe it.
Imagine if one of your co workers looked like Donald trump with glasses on. You see him at work every day and think “fuck he looks like trump.” But while you’re at work you’re seeing trump on tv, and you’re seeing trump tweet, and ultimately trump is rich and powerful—why would he be wearing a disguise at all?
That’s why it works. It’s not a literal mask.
>>212132785why is it such a ridiculus concept to the point of zero possible explanation that someone would do maintenance on batman's vehicles
The more they try to explain the secret identity thing
The more sociopathic Superman/Clark is
Like because he is human so Clark Kent has to be weak and meal while Superman be a hero has to be all heroic
And now you have to hypnotic thing going on which clearly goes against consent
Wouldn't it be easier just either have people close to he know who he is or him being a reporter is not possible to be superman thing?
>>212144358He is literally saying that it's a trivial question that doesn't even need an answer. You are genuinely stupid if you don't understand this. 4chan is terrible at understanding even basic facetious speech or sarcasm.
Gunn and King are straight, Morrison is an elderly troon, I will take their side no matter what.
>>212131925 (OP)I like how Snyderfags are butthurt over long time comments that Snyder does not understand Superman so now they're just copying that and constantly claiming "Gunn doesn't understand Superman!" for everything, no matter how spurious.
>>212132974They realize Superman was just fun stuff for kids. They didnt have to make it "realistic" for manchildren like now.
>>212144515>Morrison is an elderly troonThey aren't trans, they're non-binary.
