/thread. Passion is a pretty straight forward portrayal of the gospel narrative while TLTOC is a more artistic interruption of how Jesus viewed his own human nature in battle with his divine. Both are made by cathcuks tho who will be tossed into a lake of fire.

The Last Temptation might make sense if youre catholic, and I know hes catholic, but the idea that Jesus was sexually struggling and wanted to fuck Mary is borderline heretical and not hinted at anywhere in the gospel. Its somewhat plausible but not to the extent that its worth dedicating half a whole film to.
Side note I did have a funny viewing experience with it watching it with a hardcore reformed christian dude, he was nitpicking each scene for accuracy and acting super fucking smug about it and basically ragequit half way into it before the crucifixion and when the angel offers jesus to leave me and a friend burst out laughing cus our christian friend would have had a heart attack out of pure rage like pic related

I haven't watched the Last Temptation but Jesus felt human emotions. Him feeling attraction isn't sinful, it'd be sinful if he was actively thinking about wanting to fuck her. So unless that's what happened in the movie then nothing here is heretical.

Crucifixion is one of the most painful ways to die especially since it was preceded by flogging which was so violent it could expose internal organs. On top of that Jesus carried the cross
At some point physical pain reaches a threshold and I'm not sure being burned alive or being cartel'd is quantitatively, measurably worse than other extremely painful ways to die. Christ's Passion had a psychological element to it too and His hematidrosis in Gethsemane is a testament to that, the point is that He went through extreme, excruciating physical and mental torment

I dont know your circumstances but all I know from my own experience is that people wont stay by your side forever (even family) and you cant expect them to no matter what the greeting card philosophy says. The only thing I have in this world in my darkest hours is Christ. He is a silent partner and sometimes i struggle with that but at other times find comfort in it.
