Never watched this show. 23 years late to the party, what do folks here think of this show? Babies' first The Wire or is it based?

It's the nu metal of TV shows. It seemed cool for like five minutes but looking back I'm deeply embarrassed I ever liked it.

Its decent, the first 2 season as good plot hook but like almost every long running show it devolve into mediocre melodrama.

Show had a soft reboot in Season 4.

>Season 1 being a good episodic cop drama
>Season 2-3 having a long story arch which ties all loose ends in Season 3 finale
>Season 4 bringing a new main plot which continues to Season 7 finale.

I recommend watching Seasons 1-3 and decide if you want to continue watching forward.
