I've listened to some of the audio-books but I found them a bit one-tone-ish after the first two books. "I'm a robot", "I'm weird", "I have social anxiety", etc. At first it was very relatable and entertaining but it got a bit old but maybe I shouldn't have listened to them back-to-back?

Just finished the first book because of this thread. The diversity is kinda eh, there I guess, characters have weird names and the family situations when mentioned are always polyamorous ones. It's all unimportant tho because the characters are mostly nobodies. You have the G-name augmented guy that dislikes him, the Pippy-chong name girl that does tech stuff and the M-name boss lady that leads the party. There are a few others that don't do much, the combat and everyone's actions feel intelligent but we later learn the bad guys plan was always going to be exposed. I felt the robot was humanised too much and the people were too quick to adopt him as well. His behaviour isn't 'robot learning to be human,' its cyborg slave with social anxiety.'

Kinda average all up. Might read the 2nd book tomorrow to see if it's any better.
