Here's some standard operating procedure: stay the fuck away from Tony Soprano.

“He played J.V. as a senior” is all that was necessary. I’m not even sure Carm understood the implications of that.

Tony realises she wants to be killed and in her deranged mind being killed by her lover would be a fitting death. A grimy death at the hands of a strange doesn't have the same appeal to her sensibilities.
Ultimately, Tony doesn't give a fuck if she kills herself or not, she just wants her to leave him and his family alone which he achieves. Him being upset when he learns of her death is just the fleeting sense of guilt he gets every now and again.

Why am I such a simp? Gloria is objectively nuts and a toxic person but I feel bad for her and want to hug her at this moment.
Is it just because she's pretty and looks so helpless?

I liked his character too. Probably the one guy in the main cast we see and know the least about. He's always there to act when needed.

This scene really stuck out when I first watched this show. For two reasons. 1) "It wont be cinematic" was the most kino thing in the show besides "sacre le beau where is me mama?!" and more importantly 2) Her acting was so phenomenal. The shaking was so realistic. I was extremely impressed, and it was, ironically, cinematic. Thanks for reading.
