why is it that the aliens in the Alien franchise are supposed to be these hyper evolved beings but every time they are just violent spergs that kill everything in their vicinity for no reason?

They're just space cockroaches. Evolved as in highly survivable, not intelligent. The xeno in the first movie doesn't do anything intelligent besides hide in ducts and ambush a few unarmed people.

its physically impossible for something to biologically grow that fast without bursting into flames from the sheer temperatures it would generate and thusly my immersion was ruined and the movie became cartoonish and funny instead of scary and morbidly arousing

The same way the xeno was meant to bite off Ripley's head and assume her voice at the end (as per Ripley's vision)?
As far as I can see they are simple bugs in both movies.

Bugs are plenty dangerous and giant, intelligent, parasitical ones would be horrifying. It's ridiculous that people see the comparison as an insult and seethe about it.

Because the movies carry a pessimistic theme that the universe is violent and chaotic which is exactly what makes the aliens evolutionarily perfect. Theyโ€™re horror movies, after all.

The alien is not evolutionary perfect. That is never implied nor shown anywhere. A malfunctioning android said they were perfect killers because they didn't have any remorse or care about killing. You may as well say the same dumb shit about a tiger. And the alien universe is not chaotic. The movies were saying there are strange things out there that can be dangerous and humans should be careful. Also the exact same can be said on any expedition on Earth where many worse horrors were found including parasites and viruses that killed Humans far easier.

In the first movie, the alien was abducting people and turning them into eggs. He only kills Lambert and Parker because the alien is attacked. If the ship hadn't blown up, that single alien would have created 2-3 new eggs that could survive hundreds or thousands of years before restarting the cycle. Let him loose on a bigger ship, or a planet, and at that rate a single alien could create a colony in days. In the second movie, we see just that, and the entire colony is turned into aliens soon after.

If it weren't for Ripley blowing them up every time she meets them, the aliens would be an incredibly effective lifeform.
The queen/hive is stupid though. They shouldnt be space cockroaches. If Cameron wanted a big villain for the ending, he should have done what Alien 3 did with the cow.

I don't know how much of this was done with CGI, but if it was mostly CGI, I can safely say this is one of the rare instances where it doesn't bother me/doesn't seem plasticy and unrealistic.
