the biggest question in regards to this is: do you want to quit? there is nothing that can be done until you sincerely want to quit. no matter how much you struggle with self-control and other problems like that, when you at least want to quit, thats a massive first step and its definitely worth going to AA. im not an alcoholic myself but my half-brother has been struggling with alcohol his whole life and finally had enough and started attending my countries equivalent to AA and its doing wonders for him.

Used to be mostly beer but sometimes gin, amaretto or mixed vodka. I can't drink anymore though because I'm mid-30s and it caused me a shit load of health issues that I still haven't recovered from. So in answer to the question some kind of soda or water.
