I think the animators for the DCAU really had to go out of their way to not make men look like a total brick shithouse. In the comics, The Flash is muscular, yes, but he looks more like a peak Olympian athlete than a body builder. picrel The Flash has extra broad shoulders and a massive chest. After I noticed this it became laughable seeing every male in their shows have the same build and it hardly made any sense especially with Lex, but it never bothered me personally.
