When you look at pic related it might look like an old libtard boomer virtue signaling and condemning his past work, but when put in the context of 28 Years Later it takes on a different meaning. 28 Years has an exclusively all white cast, and the historical footage is explicitly nationalistic and emphasizing Anglo survival against all odds. I think it's a movie about Britains culture and history. Dr. Kelson is like an historic painted shamanic Druid Brit that make monuments and has sacred knowledge. They live in Lindisfarne island, a Norseman arrives (the Swede), they mention the French are sailing around in the waters. Jimmys priest dad representing the Christian religious history. They open with a poem by Rudyard Kipling referencing the colonial wars, they show historical war time reels and they use a long bow as a weapon. The boy is given his moms skull which seems like a nod to Shakespeares Hamlet. They come to modern times with Jimmy Saville, Britain being isolated (Brexit), and the windmills have rusted.

Maybe the zombies represent Britains dark past and shame, and the message is that the baby being born from the zombies and new generations doesn’t have to inherit or be infected by the same bad things

When we first see Kelson's fire, it's clearly visible from a inbetween point between Lindisfarne and where he actually is on the hill, which makes me think that Kelson is located at Shepherdskirk Hill. Which makes me think the first forest/part of the film takes place around West Kyloe.
But we see them heading South of Newcastle to get to Kelson's fire location.. which makes no sense for where we see Kelson's camp at the start of the film, which is visible from an inbetween point between Lindisfarne and a most likely Shepardskirk Hill and only likely an hour run from their location.
Also end of the film could be anywhere (filmed in Cheddar gorge) but if we go by Jimmy's connection to Leeds, probably somewhere around the Peak District.

This is the weakest part of the narrative of the movie. Exaggerating events for a drunken story is one of the most natural and human activities. Denigrating that is denying humanity.
