>>212234934 (OP)Glorified anime filters and AI generated imagery donยดt qualify as artistic design. Design is about expressing through skill, itยดs about making decisions and having absolute control to create something as it exists only on the artistยดs mind. And then you have to be able to consistently replicate that result.
>>212238780Yeaaah... no. Think about it for like 2 seconds. AI generates imagery by searching a database of stolen tagged images that match the input prompt. That by itself already presents two issues, first, derivative enough work will, without fail, lead to lawsuits. AI canยดt hold copyright rights and the prompter will only have the prompt as itยดs proof of process and if the prompt is "make Scarlet Johansson in Ghibli style" it really will be better of not showing it as it reveals exactly whose image and styles are being stolen.
This means that not only the prompter wonยดt be able to make profit (because itยดs not his work and AI canยดt hold copyright rights) but it will be subject to legal action for using stolen stuff.
Second problem, if the AI is "trained" (they call it that but itยดs not really training) with a bigger sample of data results will be more iterative and less consistent. Thatยดs a big no no for professional work where one needs absolute control over every little detail. At best AI will be used to brain storm, pitching and maybe stand in stuff for meetings. It will, at best, take the place of google searching rather than finishing.
