I think part of why I liked the show for so many years/seasons was having a group of friends and fighting bad guys with them. Plus giant robots.

I'll be your friend. No fighting though. Gundams maybe.

In Space- SPD was PEAK childhood kino, and I say this as an MMPR kid who will always love Tommywank.
They treated it like a syndicated action show from the era, but for kids. Good shit. Japanese designs were also peak in these years too.

The Exec didn't care so the show runners could do whatever they wanted.
I like that some of the Disney seasons had producers/directors who were Sentai fans and would try to fit as many references to it in their seasons. They also tried to use as much footage, suits, and props they could.
The fact RPM used the Go-onger camper was a deep cut they could have easily went without.

Seasons where villains have more complexity to them are always great.
I liked Grey the most. He was part of the villain team but had his own rules of how he dealt with things. I also liked in Jetman, every member of Vyram hated each other to the point they sabotaged their own efforts.

During Turbo the show was in a rating dip. I think they wised up and realized they had to do more narrative driven episodes and an over arcing plot because they were up against shows like Batman, Superman, and on their own block Spider-man which were huge draws.
As they went on they kept getting better and better, then ownership changed hands to Disney and they picked up where they left off.
Sad part is the world was looking away when Power Rangers was at it's best.
