The construction skit I just watched on twitter was pretty funny but I just tried watchint episode 1 and had to switch off after 11 minutes because it was genuinely horrific and lazy and not at all funny. the daddy dom thing was dragging on and it wasn't even remotely funny so what exactly was the point of it. the sketch with nick in the meeting room (whatever that was even supposed to be) was also terrible

Why don't Sam, Nick and co. have fun on set? They should riff in character like all those little random bits Sam uploads to IG where he's doing an African voice or whatever.

They would come up with funny lines that way, and could pick the best few to include in the cut with a split second of them breaking before moving on with the plot.

The funny lines aren't there. It's like they had sketch ideas but then were too serious while filming to make it feel fun or funny.

So many of the best WP1 likes were clearly improvised and had Sam or Nick trying not to laugh.

Eh, its better than episode 1 but worse than episode 2. I liked the coffee sketch, it felt a bit more like World Peace. I would have preferred something else instead of showing Daddy Dom again but it did make me laugh a few times. I agree that something feels off. It doesn't feel as kinetic, counter-culture, and avante-garde as WP. I also miss the musical outros and the more edgy and gritty transition animations. Wish there was more Charls in this one.

No it was chuckle worthy from a humor standpoint but completely fucking brutal and cruel in the most real way possible to any faggot teachers out there. I have still yet to see anything as hard hitting and real as that in this current slop season, there were so many sketches in WP that made the viewer feel more uncomfortable and nervous than anything else which is why I loved it so much, so much of MDE's humor came from the horrified reactons from the audience whether we're talking Ideas Man or any of their early stand-up sessions. There's a high possibility that some of the skits we're watching are skits that would be in the actual season 2 of World Peace, but now they don't have the same tact to make the scripts work properly on a show.

To me, personally, one of the aspects that made WP hilarious was it being on Adult Swim and seeing them have to traverse "censorship" in clever ways. Now there's not much holding them back in terms of what they can or cannot say, so if the joke is SOLELY that Sam is doing blackface or saying "nigger", it isn't as funny.
