>>212296529The problem with the large cities in the US is that the wealth there is already completely consolidated into the hands of a few large corporations and investment firms. Enacting socialist policies in these cities was viable at the turn of the 20th century even up to FDRs economic reform policies. Now? Not so much. This will drive the tax base away and will hurt the few remaining actually middle class people left in those shitholes. I couldn’t care less. I make 6 figures and live where houses cost 100k and everyone looks like me. If you’re still in one of these cities just learn a trade, skill, whatever and move out. There is no opportunity there anymore.
Ultimately I think electing a pretend socialist retard for mayor might be a good thing in that it will completely destabilize New York and facilitate a hastened collapse, which is what will need to happen for any meaningful change to follow. My money is on the wealthy eventually getting everything back though. Poor people are too retarded to help themselves.
