The opening of JP1 is so damn foreboding and creepy, doesn't help the same is also true for the intro sequence song
Rest of the franchise really doesn't match this at all, and frankly the same is also true for the rest of JP1

These movies aren't really about the dinosaurs dying. No dinosaurs in JP3 die at all. A couple of raptors die in the original. Only the Jurassic World trilogy has a lot of dinosaurs dying due to the hybrids and the volcano.

Yeah, he's a total shit in the book, and by the end all the other characters hate him for stuff beyond just being a lawyer. Muldoon though is absolute GOAT in the book, getting drunk on whiskey and blowing up raptors with a rocket launcher. You probably just remember the one scene where Muldoon and Genarro are rolling around in the jeep, which is admittedly where Dobald is at his best. I'm in the middle of my annual reread of the duology, halfway through TLW right now. Fuck Richard Lewis too. Pompous ass.

I enjoy each for what they are. The novels are more horror focused, and the movie are more action and family oriented. And of course each have touches of their creators. Movies have the Spielberg schmaltz, and the books have the Chrichton autism.

I always liked JP3. Itโ€™s the only one that seriously tried to be a legit monster horror movie like King Kong type movie. All the dinos have human personalities and there are lots of scare moments, like the skeleton falling out of the tree.
I love the Spino just acting like Michael Myers or something, repeatedly doing things that are purely done solely for the reason of scaring the humans for keks.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=_35vuv4htIw&pp=ygUUc3Bpbm9zYXVydXMgcmluZ3RvbmU%3D

>somehow teleports behind them without anyone hearing or seeing
>could easily just kill them there while theyโ€™re not looking but stands and waits for them to look so he can scare them
Based big dinigga.

And itโ€™s quite an influential movie. A lot of movies copied the โ€œtheyโ€™re chasing us because we stole their eggsโ€ plot beat.

You are going to love this one then. They are scary alright. No one can't say Gareth didn't create atmosphere because he did and did it well. There's a scene where a character is about to get jumped while he pisses and it's genuinely great seeing the dinos' reaction to every move this character makes. Also there's some nice use of fog too.

You have no way to prove that the dinosaur also didn't eat a hazmat suit and oxygen tanks. If so, and this is likely due to in movie clues, she'd be able to either be vomited out by attacking the stomach of the dino, or waiting peacefully for it to pass her. I give her a 40% chance of living.
