I'm just here checking in on my journey, you might call it a "trek" ha ha ha, watching the entire saga in timeline order. Gotta say, I enjoy going back and forth between Voyager and Deep Space Nine the most. I was looking forward to this period of Trek and it's not disappointing. The differences between the casts and storylines and locations complement each other surprisingly well.
>>212320817The Doctor is the best character on VOY
>>212320854For me it's Tuvok.
>causally beats you in the entrance exam
>>212320884A stopped clock is right twice a day, this and any other Kathryn Lyn episode is good.
>>212320817I think Voyager is such an odd trek show in that you can tell how some of the actors went through phases of resenting the show and the people who ran it.
>>212320706TNG: The Defector
>>212320817I agree, it's really nice to watch them together.
When DS9 hits S5 and VOY is at S4, both shows are at their best.
>>212320575 (OP)Picard was so uppity towards Riker in that episode for no reason

>>212321004They're skewed by a couple seasons but yeah, currently it's season 3 of Voyager and I definitely prefer the Seven of Nine seasons to the Kes seasons, but there's a lot of good episodes in the first 3 seasons. Jennifer Lien did a good job in Warlord which I recently watched. She did a good job hamming it up.
>>212321048It kind of depends. I usually watch 2 or 3 a day, but sometimes I skip days. There was a period during TNG where it was less than 1 per day. As far as star dates I think it's pretty consistent back and forth but I'm not totally as autistic about it as I could be. I follow Startrekviewingguide.com and have been since starting Enterprise. What's fun about the way they arrange it is sometimes it'll be 4 or 5 DS9 episodes in a row or 3 Voyager in a row or sometimes it's just back and forth. It's not obsessively arranged by airdate, which is how I would've done it to get the full experience of seeing it on TV at the time. I'm fine with how it's arranged. It's definitely been a marathon.

I asked this in the last thread but it got buried in tranny spam. Did Commander Shran ever call Travis a brown skin or a dark skin? He loved calling the rest of the gang pink skins, but did Archer have to pull him aside and tell him he couldnโt call a black person a darkie? Would Shran even care? Probably not right?

>A large part of Jefferies' original design sketches was sold off on 12 December 2001 in the Profiles in History The Star Trek Auction, in order to raise funds for the "Motion Picture and Television Fund". The color painting, instrumental for the approval of the design, was so liked by Roddenberry that he managed to beg Jefferies into gifting it to him. (Star Trek Memories, 1995, p. 48) Later, in the early 1980s Roddenberry sold reproductions of this and other early Enterprise color concept-art (some of them endowed with forged "Eugene W. Roddenberry" signatures in order to claim credit as Enterprise designer, [16] obtained in a similar manner, through his company Lincoln Enterprises at Star Trek conventions, profiting handsomely from them, with Jefferies entirely left out in the cold, never seeing a single penny from the sales revenues.

>>212329123Reminds me of the story about the Alexander Courage and the Star Trek theme song
https://startrekfactcheck.blogspot.com/2014/04/while-he-wanders-his-galaxy-gene.html
>When Sandy Courage was given his contract to write the Star Trek music, he was unaware of a two-sentence clause toward the end of the agreement. Thinking it was more of the usual boilerplate, Sandy signed the agreement without reading it fully. The clause, inserted by Gene's attorney, Leonard Maizlish, gave Gene the right to write a lyric to Courage's theme.>Almost two years later, after NBC put Star Trek on its schedule, Sandy received a call from Leonard Maizlish: "Listen, from now on we will be collecting one-half of your royalties." Sandy, confused as to how this could happen, spoke to Desilu Music Department head Wilbur Hatch and Desilu attorney Ed Perlstein. "They told me there was nothing that could be done, legally," said Sandy, and when he questioned Roddenberry, Gene explained, "Hey, I have to get some money somewhere. I'm sure not going to get it out of the profits of Star Trek."
>>212329123Are you surprised? Roddenberry was a carnie who started huffing his own farts in the 70s and seeing himself as some kind of cult leader. He was not a very good person towards the end, if ever.
>>212329315Roddenberry's lawyer was a real fucking scumbag. They talk about him a decent amount in this.

>>212331751There's some people you just get an undeniable sense of evil from man, this guy is fucking one of them. Something is off.
>>212331386It's what you would expect if they announced a TOS reboot show based on the tone and visuals of the JJ movies. It's episodic, it's okay but I think it lacks thought. In more than one instance they should have reread their stories and asked themselves if the conclusion is really the result of what we experience during the episode. Like, Pike and Spock are trapped on a planet subjected to the horrifying leftovers of alien technology. They figure a way out. And in the end, he says, well they didn't mean to be evil, I guess they are a great civilization. Really? That's his takeaway?

>>212339458>no we also like to discuss best ship class, barclays holodeck habits dumars drinking habits and kiras butt, its a well rounded and full discussion, but mostly about how dukat did nothing wrong, if you have at least a little dukat posting in your life then really what are you living for?the saddest anon ever
>>212339514>terrible trash getting cancelledds9 cancellation was sad to you? GAYYYYYYYYYYY
>>212339516true lack of dukat posting leads to sadness and faggotry, I can only feel sorry for them
>>212337362See, I was hoping someone would say "But anon, what about X?", but apparently there really is nowhere (online at least) where you can talk about Trek without nutroons constantly interjecting. Oh well.
>>212339564you can be as disingenuous as you want the facts of reality don't change because of that, your nutrek trash is done and I couldn't be happier
>>212339635you are the one that likes to ignore facts about feelings and assumptions that only exist inside your gay head
the main fact is that trek is silly and adults like you wasting time discussing shit is worse than literal troons
It's a shame how much the characters let down Voyager. Towards the end of season 4 I'm already noticing how every episode now is a Doctor episode, a Seven of Nine episode, or a Doctor and Seven of Nine episode. Their fault for loading the crew full of boring characters like Tom Paris and Harry Kim
>>212339689lol stupid tranny your attempts get more pathetic every day, nu-trek is cancelled its over one zombie show left that has already announced its cancellation, its time to come to term with the fact that nu-trek was a mistake and a laughable one at that one that will be mocked derided and forgotten. While real trek will be discussed and re-watched for decades to come. In short you lost.
>>212339770>decades to comegeezers wont last that much
and there are not much more then 20 other geezers here
>>212338867all trek except SNW is out of production
>>212338961>hurr durr muh magic psychic powers
>>212339824he said he just want to circlejerk other geezers, but we wont let him
Ahh are we already onto the tranny spam portion of the thread? Surely I thought we had a few more hours. Bump limit here we come gentleman. Side note, odo is a little simp cuck.
>>212339847>weyou mean you and your incessant samefagging? funny how all the seething samefags go silent at the same time
>>212339824>all trek except SNW is out of productionI know its great, hopefully it gets cancelled even earlier then announced
>>212339847there is no "we" you schizo, as is always the case your diseased minds will move on to try and ruin another franchise until you join section 41 and leave us all in peace to discuss things we like.
>>212339821And then what will you do? Your sole purpose is to antagonise and spoil things for normal people. (Were that not so, you'd long ago have self-segregated into your own /nutrek/ threads.) The standard answer would be "Move on to/destroy another franchise", but what's left?
>>212339946>discuss things we like.there is no "we"
>they transported a guy up during a storm and he had twigs and leaves fused into his body
fucking kek
>>212339888odo had a hard life
>>212339968you really are incapable of original thought aren't you? as if nu-trek shit wasn't proof enough your here to make it plain
>>212339921and your mom hopes you'll leave your room, get a job, maybe even meet a nice girl and have some kids so she won't go extinct
>>212339989Odd was also a bit of a grump. He deserved everything quark through at him.
>>212340015>you really are incapable of original thought aren't you?are you?
you are the one that want to endlesslu reminisce about something that cancelled 30 years ago
go to write ALL NEW FICTION somewhere else
you cant tho
>>212340051>odo vs quarkgeezer on geezer faggotry
>>212340039hilarious, you really have absolutely nothing to say at all eh? your shit is done its cancelled its over its joined section 41, maybe its time for you to do the same.
>>212340077lol you ainโt gonna drag me into this tranny. I donโt take the bait.
>>212340051and quark deserved everything odo threw at him, best friend enemies in trek, love the mountain climbing ep ending with
>hey odo you know those things I said?>yea>I meant every word>so did I
remember when Sisko let Garak come along on a mission just to keep Odo entertained like some kind of nanny and then Garak tried to hijack the ship and genocide the Changelings?
>>212340052you can't even write an original post, lmao.
>>212340124>remember whenno gramps, nobody cares about old shit
we only like SNW basedness
>>212340087but i have a life outside of star trek. funny how you can't even conceive of that
>>212340052Not him, but I actually am in the process of writing something, funnily enough. It's mostly inspired by other stuff, but in a way it's also negatively inspired by what's become of Trek. Anyway, a question: if there were /oldtrek/ threads, would you and your kind stay out of them?
>>212340123Exactly. One of my favorite trek dynamics. Odo is a grump but quark is also a smarmy asshole.
>>212340124great ep, I think sisko actually felt bad for garak of course he would want to know what happened to the cardassians, so sisko let him tag along, wish they had done a bit more with worf starting to respect garak though, it comes back later during the dominion prison eps but a little more would've been nice. What is nice is martok always says hi to garak when they meet and shows him respect
>>212340159no, I will be there
it is all trek or no trek
but I only antagonize the geezers that take themselves too serious
elab on your writing
>>212340190its not the time to shit on voy but tuvok gives neelix a small win when he leaves however when odo leaves
>aren't you going to say goodbye?>no quark>what really, come on at least say goodbye>no>no?>noand odo just leaves, it was perfect
>>212340203>What is nice is martok always says hi to garak when they meet and shows him respecthmmm I actually never noticed this
>>212340278hahahahahaha
pathetic geezer
move on to more based trek
>>212340278doesn't Quark then say something like
>yeah that guy loves me
>>212340159i too wrote a fanfic recently. it was inspired by our resident seething samefag. the enterprise tracks down a terrorist that keeps interrupting federation broadcasts with unhinged rants, and it turns out to be a single guy that looks like this, who is mostly angry because he's never had a real woman, he's only humped holograms
>>212340300its a thing thats normally in the back ground but if your paying attention its always their, for instance when they retake ds9, same thing with bashir and martok, they have this friendly banter after the prison its a minor thing but they seem to have a mutual respect for each other
>>212340360I also wrote a fanfic recently, it was about a closeted gay geezer that believe in space-religion crapola and he seethed "dont play with my toys" to the new generation
in the end he learns the virtude of letting it go
>>212340334yep, like I said, its perfect
>>212340407it's amazing how inspirational this seething samefag is. just think of all the nutrek that wouldn't exist without his efforts
>>212340334its nice to remember they were friends irl too, their stuff on boston legal was great
Setup: A vain, reclusive Giant builds a high wall around his beautiful garden and puts up a sign:
โMy garden is my own. No one is to play here but me!โ
Conflict: Every spring the birds and children come to play, but he chases them away, so his garden is trapped in perpetual winter.
Climax: At last, moved by one small boy who quietly slips in, the Giant realizes how miserable heโs made everyone (and himself).
Resolution: He tears down the wall, welcomes the children back, and learns the joy (the โvirtueโ) of sharing and letting go.
>>212339824> all trek except SNW is out of production! It just is okay! For the self appointed Gatekeeper of Trek, it's always astonishing how ignorant you are of all things Star Trek related.
>>212340627what is this diversity?
>>212340217Nah, I'm not having someone steal my ideas, sorry. And yeah, quelle surprise. You won't discuss nutrek by yourselves; you won't stop barging into discussions of actual Trek (despite scoffing at the idea of discussing "something that [sic] cancelled 30 years ago"); and whatever jannies there are are either absent or troons themselves.
Nothing to see here just a simple tailor
>>212340570then a hidious ogre shows up smashing and stomping on all the things the kids and the giant were creating together, they ask the ogre
>why are you doing this?the ogre replies
>this is the nu-garden dont you like it? if you don't go find yourself another oneand continues to stomp and smash and ruin all the nice things the children and giant made, but they refuse to give up the garden and drive the ogre away, and peace is restored.
>>212340627Oh, right, Starfleet Academy. Forgot about that. In the future, I will endeavor to post more correct information about Star Trek still in production.
>>212340689the ogre waits the passing of the geezer
life heals itself
>>212340659Why would you care if anyone stole your ideas? It's not like you can make any money off of Trek fanfic. Post it on AO3 or whatever and be happy with that.
>>212340723geezers are paranoid and have silly concepts of owning ideas
>>212340714so nu-trek is a horrible ogre trying to destroy everything? glad you agree
>>212340723I'm not writing Trek fanfic. This should have been a clue:
>It's mostly inspired by other stuff
>>212340723>It's not like you can make any money off of Trek shitfic.tell that to kurtzmann
Just woke up to find out the guy who says "geezer" derailed the thread. Who could have seen this coming.
>>212340749the concept of destruction subjective attachment disorder
they are not destroying, they are playing in a different way, letting go and accepting that you don't own ideas that were never yours
>>212340768are the muslim dude from 2 years ago?
still unpublished? kek
>>212340777Itโs also the faggots who keeps replying to him. Geezer guy comes in, riles people up and the thread is derailed by spam.
>>212340768then why isn't it offtopic?
>>212340793>the ogre is destroying and ruining everything>they are playing in a different waythis is the genuine mindset of the nutrek tranny, thats very disturbing.
>>212340861yes, ogre was just reorganizing
the geezer was just stuck up attached schizo
that was the fairy tale
>>212340824Nope. (And technically I've had stuff published, just not fiction. Not that I ever expect to make money from it, given the absolute state of everything.)
>>212340836nta but what are you talking about? are you saying you care about rules now nu-trek faggot? you really are a horrible nasty little piece of shit aren't you?
>>212340749did you enjoy your 15 minute ban for being a total spaz? we did.
>>212340836Because I was partly motivated by the dire state of current-year sci-fi franchises, most notably Trek. But I won't mention it any more.
>>212340889this is the mindset of the nu-trek tranny, destroying a childrens playground is
>just reorganizingthis is what the fag actually thinks, that is very disturbing.
>>212340773he's not kurtzmann. and there are plenty of extended-universe authors that apparently made money off star trek, but the odds of getting your work accepted there are vanishingly small
>>212340961a new idea comes in and the geezers seethe, they just want to circlejerk about old crap
>>212340936? I wasn't banned what are you talking about? have you had enough of being a schizo?
>>212340961i don't mind if you post about it, i was just confused that it turned out not to be trek related. im neither a petty tyrant nor a bully
>>212340996because you didn't post for like 15 minutes. i figured you were dead, banned, or god help us all, employed
>>212340989>crapyou mean good stories told by good writers with a good cast and a good production team? shame none of that is happening these days.
>>212341030you are one weird af tranny, the fact that you can't find a place to discuss your weird shit and have to come here and spam remains really really sad.
>>212341036>you mean good storiesif they so good, why got cancelled?
they would be running forever like CSI or SVU
>>212341036tos got cancelled after 2 seasons but came back for a crappy 3rd season, starting with "spock's brain" which made it so totally worth it
>>212341065I'm betting 30 posts before death. 95% will of course be you
>>212340832It looks like he entered the thread around 11AM Eastern time. I'll remember in the future it's only possible to have meaningful discussion at night and early morning before he wakes up.
>>212341006As I said, I'm not going to give away my ideas. Only brought it up at all because of this...
>>212340052>go to write ALL NEW FICTION somewhere else>you cant tho>>212340926I haven't been here in months, and somehow it's gotten even worse. I didn't think that was possible. Maybe I'll check in again in a few more months, just to see if it can possibly be worse still.
>>212341072lol star trek isn't law and order, it would end when it was done, nu trek however gets cancelled when paramount can't bleed any more money into things no one watches
>>212341095>b-but tos wasyour cope knows no bounds after all you are a tranny, no surprise
>>212341065enjoy talking to yourself until it dies you schizo
>>212341139Perhaps your gate keeping of a general on a sub of a Chan at 3 AM isn't the impressive achievement you think.
>>212341248Who's talking about gatekeeping? I only wanted to discuss Star Trek without the geezer guy's spamming.
>>212341268seething goes the geezer
>>212341268its fine let him burn himself out in his pathetic nutrek thread, we'll make a real one in a bit
>>212341268And by "geezer guy" I meant the nutrek poster who calls everyone else a geezer.
>>212341139It just sucks because Star Trek doesnโt even get talked about. He doesnโt even actually seem to be a fan of nuTrek cause he never wants to fucking talk about Star Trek, itโs all just annoying bait and spam to hit the bump limit.
>>212341311assumptions galore
>>212341303we've got it everyone knows, just let him samefag himself in his nuthread, we'll move the real one to something else for a while
>>21234131I can only speculate that he thinks he's winning an argument with the demons who live rent free in his head.
>>212337632I did choose wisely. I chose Orthodoxy. Odin guides me.
>>212341311he doesn't care about star trek he just wants attention it doesn't matter what form that comes in he just desperately wants attention
>>212341409I care about, but I don't freak out like a faggot when a silly lore is presented
>>212341429as I said desperate for attention
>>212341104>>212341216i find it truly amazing that you project like this. what an amazing lack of self-awareness
>>212341139>i track my mommy's menstrual cycle too
Based, I love it when /trek/ fractures because the Nu Trek faggots are so gotten to they split the thread, which means we'll get comfy discussion all day in a specific Trek topic thread
I'd recommend somebody make something about DS9, they have limited cartoon shit to spam and keep it on topic for that show.
>>212341831who split anything?
>>212341041 was first. you and your seething would have to split it. also, who cares? it's just a stupid 4chan thread. why does your life seem to revolve around it?
>>212341961Sorry I don't speak "gay" lol I can't understand you
>>212341978so it's really never occurred to you that i do this solely because you seethe so much about it? that i'm reacting to your bullying and petty tyranny, and would probably go away if you only could control your austisic screeching? you're literally causing all of this, and you're too dumb to figure it out. what a piece of work you are
>>212342055>would probably go awayDoes anyone believe this? Do you believe it even?
>>212342055Oh I know exactly why you SAY you do it and it brings me immense joy and pleasure to see you completely waste your time for nothing
but the fact is you were doing this for years before I even came back so that's just a pathetic excuse, and more of an admission that you're gotten to by my posting
in wrestling parlance, it means you're a WORKED BITCH
>>212342131yes. this is a waste of my time
>>212342159years? you have me confused with someone else
>>21234242130-50 posts max,how long can you samefag? we will see, in any case another failed attempt will be hilarious to see
>>212342533trek threads die faster when you're not samefagging madly. why are you proud of that?
>>212342055>im being a sperging faggot but its YOUR fault!lol the complete lack of self awareness is both pathetic and sad
>>212342588so you admit to trolling you admit to samefagging, you admit to being a faggot sperging about a cartoon no one cares about, and you are so delusional you can't even see that your shitty thread will die in 30 posts. Do you even comprehend how fucking stupid you are?
>>212342673you have no life
>>212342812keep limping along in your faggot thread, their are dozens of you right? the really ad thing is their isn't even that, lmao keep on lolcow
>descendants of colonists forgot they're human, how to speak proper english, and reverted to cavemen within 2 generations
this is retarded
>>212342812he's right you know
>>212342941shh its more fun to let him limp along in his faggot thread
>>212341831>they have limited cartoon shit to spam and keep it on topic for that showThere are more DS9 characters in Lower Decks than any other Berman era trek character.
