This show is so stupidly written man what the fuck.
Just finished season 1. Why do they act like a patent means "property" literally? I thought it just meant you basically own the creation and distribution of an idea. For example if somebody were to use unreal engine to create a videogame, it doesn't suddenly mean that unreal engine owns that game, so the whole "if you sign they will own kira!" thing doesnt make sense but even ignoring all that...DONT THEY REPEATEDLY SAY IN THE SHOW THAT CLONING IS ILLEGAL.
Contracts arent literal magic spells, the fuck is legally binding you, the fuck kind of legal power of enforcement do they have for illegal clones?
Next. Why the fuck did everybody suddenly forget that Saray is supposed to be a bad mother lmao? Call this a nitpick maybe, but I just find it so silly that Kira is not only so attached to a neglectful mother, but also that shes so trusted with her anyway.
Also the whole Helena and religious cult thing was so fucking dumb. They had ONE guy watching over her in a locked cage? What? Just one dude?
Also they seem to just use Helena randomly whenever they want to kill somebody for dramatic effect, why the fuck did she kill her bio mother? lmao wtf that shit was so random, the whole "you split us up made my life bad blah blah blah" shit is dumb because she obviously didnt want you to become a murderous psycho that would eventually kill her haha. And if the "shes a psycho" defense comes into play then you can justify anything, why didnt she kill Kira then for being the child of an abomination.
I mean its all dumb and contrived so whatever. So sad too cuz the premise is so cool and interesting, especially when she had to impersonate Beth. I wanted to know more about beth, but they threw that shit oit fast.
Now im debating still watching the show because GOD the writing is bad.
Am I wrong or what? Genuinely want to be convinced otherwise.
