Jerry Goldsmith's soundtrack is so wholesome I keep mistaking him for John Williams. Alien 1979 has a very passive and relaxing OST compared more dramatic OSTs in Alien 2 & Alien 3 and other films featuring cellos & violins. Even Aliens Fireteam Elite's OST sounds much more unnerving and almost like it's the backdrop from the Soul Reaver series.

Aliens Fireteam Elite's OST sounds like unfinished Megadrive/Genesis music. It sounds like an OST made primarily of sound effects and rushed orchestra.
Alien 3's soundtrack was so good the first 2 AVP games copied it entirely.

desu the texture and the ribcage and other stuff on it is still cool as hell even by rubber costume standards of the 2000s when costumes were much more intricate than in the 80s ... the ribcage still gives it a depth that makes it almost look like it's real.
But yeah the shoulders, neck, head is still the most realized and that's because even the original concept art never showed off its thighs, legs, feet. It was surrealism that only showed off its upper half. The skull idea that wasn't even in the concept art was impeccable.
Also I think the concept art facehugger looked much more grotesque and fat and like a giant ballsack pussy ... unlike the final iteration that looks like a cross between a spider and Addam's Family's Thing.

Ahaha holy shit I just now realized all the action happens on the Nostromo rather than the refinery. Right? Or else why the fuck would dumbfuck Ripley blow up the Nostromo instead of the refinery and not skidaddle out with the Nostromo away from the refinery rather than the Narcissus.

Man I can't imagine how much budget the refinery would require to show it off ... I wonder if the interior design would have been different from the Nostromo.
