Honestly, to me, its a red flag if anyone thoroughly enjoys this flick. Not for reasons most of you think though.

The entire premise of this movie is some underdog kid becoming the literal savior of an entire race and brutally killing two seemingly insurmountable forces of oppression (The emperor and harkonnen/sardaukar armies). A movie like this typically resonates with people whom are deep seeded, grade-A narcissists. Everyone I have encountered who likes this movie is a completely self absorbed asswipe that thinks they are superior to everyone they encounter, that they are somehow “different” or “awake”. I don’t quite understand how this hasn’t been flagged as a right wing extremist coded movie, because it certainly is one.

Why should I not consider myself superior and more important than other people? Are they going to do me a favor if I do the "right" thing and respect them as equals? Will they even treat me like an equal? Seems like a bit of a leap and reliant on trust other people do not deserve. Should I see them as superior? Why would I mentally cuck myself in that way? If I could I'd kill every person I come across as it means more resources for me.

Wow I love this movie and you almost described me perfectly, but not quite. You got a lot to learn, loser.

And your take, which isn't novel btw, is exactly what's wrong with smartassess in this day and age. You think you struck gold by possessing the opinion the goes against the status quo who don't know better, but if you had an once of honesty in you, you would know in the first place that Dune's story is a cautionary tale against messianic figures.
