Fun movie, 4/5. I think the movie was good but failed because the trailers made it look bad and Summer had too many heavy hitters for M3GAN to compete with. If it was released in January like the first one it would have at least done ok.

I don't think it works like that man. Tanking the JigCU wouldn't save the M3gan series. You would have to elevate M3gan with the JigCU. The risk is that you get the stink of failure from M3gan on the JigCU and it fucks up the surefire moneymaker you just paid a whole shit load of money fore.

Movie misses the mark a little bit. It's more Mission: Impossible than it is T2, and on top of that it's very tame and the story is a bit of a mess.

I personally like all the characters and enjoyed M3gan's antics so I liked it. But it's a flawed movie.

This was all I desired too. They were happy to supply that before, so it isn't like we were expecting something that was never provided to us in the first place. If they really wanted M3gan VS P2 M3gan, that would have been fine with me. If P2 M3gan was just as cute a murder loli as M3gan is and they have some dance-offs together, some back and forth bratty dialogue with each other, cute dresses to wear, etc, what else could you really ask for? They wouldn't even have to make M3gan necessarily "good". She could just play nice for awhile until it isn't convenient for her anymore

The mistake here is that Superman had a long time to transverse into different tones and themes over the years. M3gan had one single movie. Chucky's tone changed to more of a comical one in the second movie, but it didn't fully abandon the nature of the first. That would have been retarded. As it turns out, nobody at Blumhouse had the authority to tell the creators this. Even the founder of the studio was in support of it, so it was over

The executive producer said a theoretical M3GAN 3.0 would go back to being a horror so I imagine the budget would be cheaper. Just get M3GAN, a gaggle of schmucks, and find an excuse for M3GAN to kill them. Doesn't need to be super fancy.
