The film’s satire of the film industry, Scientology-style cults (MindHead, anyone?), and the sheer desperation of wannabe stars is razor sharp but never mean spirited. And the scenes where clueless extras chase Eddie Murphy down the street yelling “Gotcha, suckas!”? It’s smart, it’s silly, it’s totally unfiltered and that’s why Bowfinger is funny as fuck.

YOu would think Lorne Michaels would tell cast leaving SNL that if they want a movie career post SNL that they should look at actors like Bill Murray and Adam Sandler on how to keep your career afloat and not just do the same thing over and over.

I’m sure there are loads of movies I enjoyed that others did not, but one that comes to mind is ‘The Professor and the Madman’. I’m not sure if others did or didn’t enjoy it, I just know I’ve never seen it talked about anywhere, or seen promotional materials for it. It stayed underneath everyone’s radar, it seems. But I liked it.

Aside from that, I am a cheap whore for a certain genre of movie. If you make a movie featuring monsters or giant creatures of any kind, I will allow tons of latitude in the quality of the plot/acting/dialogue before I decide not to watch. They can make a new Jurassic world or King Kong movie every day until the end of the time, and if everything else about the movie isn’t absolute dogshit, I will watch every single one.

>>212376406
>the cabin in the woods
Was ultra kino. I loved it.

>twilight
I liked it as well. if you imagine things from the perspective of Edward, it’s just the male fantasy as well. Unkillable, forever young immortal gigachad who gets to have his pick of high school age girls, any of whom will worship the ground you walk on. The music was real nice too. Also, tons of nature porn in there like Revenant. The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful place.

>>212372804
>fight club
I don’t know a single person who didn’t like fight club. It’s the quintessential 12 year old edgelord movie but one that’s actually really good.

>inception
One of the best movies OAT, again, everyone loved it. There are really safe answers you’re giving.
