Tim Heidecker is arguably the most influential comedian of the internet age
>>212397371 (OP)No that's actually Zach Galifanakis
On Cinema is better than anything Sam Hyde has done

He'll rape ya!

This is the inky place i ever hear anyone talking about this guy so I assume this is Tim himself posting this crap. Fuck you, Tim, you unfunny bitch.
>jurassic worlp, huh, ummm I mean jurassic world regirth is a new movie from steven spielberg uhhh
hahahahahaha he said the wrong information and mumbled lmao on cinema is so funny remembah the trial
>>212397371 (OP)The man who destroyed Sam Hyde
>>212397589Awesome Show actually took a lot of work and effort, so much stuff filmed and such precise perfect editing all into an 11 minute show. On Cinema is just Tim and Gregg doing the same joke with maybe some halfbaked plotline intertwined with it. Tim without Ericโs artfag influence is nothing
Eric Wareheim is arguably the least influential comedian of the internet age
>>212397760>tim makes podcasts with balding retards and failed djs>eric eats expensive food on yachts with young babesHe won
>>212397577Looks made up. I don't believe it.
>>212397921SHRIMP AND WHITE WINE
>>212397921lol, but Tim was the brains. Eric can try and direct wacky music videos and crappy Indian Netflix episodes, but to do anything of GREATNESS he needs Tim.
>>212397715i don't think it's eric's influence, tim just ran out of steam on his own.
Awesome Show was the culmination of so much 90s and early 2000s culture. It wasn't just fart sounds and chippy, it drew on early internet culture and local public TV and summer camps and technology and offices and weird reality TV, you don't realize how much contemporary culture is packed into the show because they're not commenting on it, just embracing it.
so at some point it has to run out. You only grow up in once, in one culture.
>>212397961Eric was the brains, he was the one pushing the envelope artistically, tim was just better at acting

>>212397715On Cinema and Decker are awesome and just keep expanding. The trial was absolutely inspired. Sorry you think it's so much less than it really is. You're missing out.
I was like you, dismissing it. Then I finally sat down and watched it from the beginning and now I hope it goes forever.
hamburgers and hotdogs too
>>212398073Yes, I've seen that low budget video before. That's one of the wacky ones I meant. I don't see any envelope being pushed. I don't see any brains being needed to make that.
>>212398026Nah I was a pretty huge fan of theirs, watched all their stuff. Eric was the one that was really into the weird David Lynch type stuff and Tim was really not like that. He was just a theatre kid but mostly did not care for anything too off the wall and didnโt get it. Eric was the weird shit, Tim was just trying to do Christopher Guest Best in Show/Waiting for Guffman type boring shit.
>>212398115I hear that in Groban. I can't be the only one.
>>212398163Tim's the one who brings up Lynch in interviews. I'm sure you have their names mixed up. You do seem retarded as you are doing that "nah" thing.
>>212398147And I donโt see any envelope being pushed with two 50 something old men mumbling about movies on a paywalled show over and over for a decade. With the same flat shots, nothing changing. I donโt get why On Cinema gets so much praise for telling the same jokes over and over.
>>212398163Tim is batshit insane and Eric just goes along with it. Watch literally any of the awesome show skits like Spaghett or the Devil Sticks one or Mr Henderson or Casey Tatum or Jan and Wayne Skylar.
Tim needs to stop being a cunt and sell On Cinema to a streaming platform, I'm not paying $14.99 a year to watch one Oscar special

>>212398211>I don't get...jokesWe know. lol
>>212397961I think Eric brought a wacky energy that is obviously missing from Tim's later work. but he's terrible on camera, extremely unfunny, and it never felt like he truly understood the bit, and always just defaulted to "im gonna be weird and random". The best example of this is when they compete in who's the most handsome, where they behind the scenes make their own videos independently from each other. Tim makes a hilarious straight face dating parody video with some truly absurd visuals. While Eric just wears a funny hat going "oh yeah" while shooting lighting from his fingers. It kinda highlights what their individual influence was to the show as a whole.

Eric's video:

>>212398247Iโm talking about the directing, behind the scenes stuff. Everything eric did without tim has all the weirdness, everything tim did without eric is dry as a popeyeโs biscuit.
>>212398306I get the joke, but mumbling names isnโt funny when you do it over and over for years. Heโs really a victim to his fanbase that parasocially worships him and would laugh at him literally doing anything at all. But the audience is dwindling.
>>212398338First off, they made these together. And Eric wearing funny hats showing women with huge fake tits is funnier than tim being naked
>>212398339it was all tim dude, if you can't tell that you're terminally retarded.
we all know that tim fell off, that's not the point. if you watch these skits, where tim is making every single joke and acting insane, while eric is just following him along not even changing his voice, and you can't tell that Tim is the visionary and the guiding center, you're braindead
>>212398339>the weirdnessTim brought the weirdness, then got sick of it. Eric followed his lead, and continued to follow his lead even after Tim moved on. Not that hard to understand.
>>212397371 (OP)Loved him on the colgate hour, he's no Roy Donk though.

I love them both equally. Can't wait for the reunion they teased in one of their earliest shows.
>>212398609why do you have that random sd1.5 image saved and why did you decide to share it?
>>212398584I love watching them laugh at stuff they made. Purple Boys is hilarious too. They genuinely think it's funny just like we do. It's like Tim's finally letting it all out after keeping the straightest face through absolutely hilarious times. Only when he's drunk does he ever break, and even then it's barely visible.

>>212398774lol, they expected the audience to leave. They didn't tell them anything. I would love to go see a "game show" and get some crazy T&E shit.
>>212398953>omg lol they didn't even want their own audience to laugh so subversive and groundbreaking
>>212397371 (OP)Ok. Argue the point then.

I just heard Tim being interviewed on NPR and it's funny hearing him trying to present himself as a Serious Musician when all I can think about is stuff like Casey and His Brother
>>212399712To be fair, Fear of Death was like a genuinely pretty good album, and it's clear he does actually know good music production. I didn't fuck with the album that came after though.

It's so funny that /tv/ started hating him as soon as he did that conservative comedian bit. It wasn't even gradual, it was just one second people here liked him and the next he's a talentless hack. Clearly he struck a nerve lmao
>>212402005People take a lot of pride in their political identity. That must be impossible when you refuse to watch art made by "liberals" and yet you insist on researching all of their social media shit so you can find flaws. I kind of miss the era where Tim never broke character ever, if you look up basically any interview they did prior to 2013 they'll be in character and its so fucking funny, I highly recommend just digging through and watching all their old interviews.
Obviously age changed him but I also think The Comedy was a pivotal moment for him as an artist, because it kind of literally is about this, being a manchild that uses irony as a shield and is incapable of being sincere ever. 2012 was kind of a surreal year in that way because they did the Billion Dollar Movie and The Comedy and the contrast between the two couldn't be more extreme
>>212397429>On Cinema is better than anything Sam Hyde has doneI don't like Timmy, but On Cinema is (was?) amazing. The trial is probably the most insane piece of internet comedy ever made.
