>>212409629 (OP)The death scene is also entirely shielded behind that box too. It’s cartoonish PG level violence.
>>212409922It’s an ugly design and they don’t really justify the hybrids in the movie. Was it the next to last movie that made a big deal about some weapons grade dino? (Not that this made any sense). The new handwave is basically that they made these creatures because regular dinos were getting boring.
Which is kind of commenting on the Jurassic Park meta as the suits understand it, which shows they don’t get it at all. The dinos are cool because they were real, and “what if” they were around. The D Rex, Indominous Rex, whatever the fuck mong might as well be a kaiju from a Marvel movie. It’s not more cool and unique, it’s more generic and stupid.
>>212414530The excuse is they lost their equipment and boat in a very dumb action scene. The drone idea is good though and would have enabled some new and exciting views of the dinos. Really missed opportunity there.
>>212414273This is just the Brachio scene from JP redone including the “awe” theme. In fact the entire movie is made up of pieces from other movies in the series. JP3 is milked a lot but the whole hybrid shit is lifted from the sequels. The tunnel sequence is from the last movie. You could storyboard the entire movie with stills from other JP movies. It’s like a legacy sequels 20 years after the old ones except it’s just been a few years.
Well it’s a bankrupt idea and derivative and it’s still possible it makes enough money that they keep making more. Gotta remember that all the toys and videogame shit feeds the whole franchise. It could even underperform and still be “worth it” just to keep Jurassic Park in people’s minds. It’s like zombie Simpsons. Doesn’t matter if nobody watches it, as long as they’re making Simpsons the lunch boxes keep being sold.
