Was the Alien actually the perfectly structured organism as Ash touted it as?
Or it's simply because a wall-climbing professional black ninja Alien had the element of surprise and facing off a bunch of trashmen?

Were the trashmen incompetent by trashmen standards or by professional SWAT team ops standards? same for the Marines that looked no older than 25 and behave like they came from a Detroit Highschool.

By the way was it ever stated what the hell the Nostromo crew actually were? miners? literal trashmen? truckets with valuable ore cargo?

I mean, having an exoskeleton is pretty swell compared to unprotected human flesh. But yeah Xenomorphs seem to lack brainpower, so that's a definite disadvantage.

The thing that makes the Nostromo crew look incompetent is their Wily E Coyote vs Roadrunner position.
They know the complete layout of the Nostromo ship, they have scanners, tools, control over the ship ... yet they still lose. This might make them look very incompetent because one of them could easily go against them and throw them in space. Which as shown by Ash isn't the case ... it all indeed came down to sheer brute strength and being better at hiding and surprising the other just like those clever "little" girls from Jurrasic Park.

ash is a robot. he thinks whatever he's been programmed to think.
he probably rationalized that the xeno was a "perfect organism" because he has orders from weyland to protect it with his life and the lives of everyone on board.

I don't think that's what Ash was referring to when claiming it was a perfect organism. But that through it's means of reproduction the species could adapt to survive in any habitable environment.

they were gonna end the movie with the alien killing Ripley and then recording a fake log in a perfect imitation of her voice.
Tha would have been mad stupid tho.
I will say, the reproductive nest we saw in the extended cut of Alien was a really good scene and should have been kept in the film.

It would have made the Alien truly ... a stranger changer. ;)) The problem is always that these powers come off as ridiculous and very comic book esque like Command & Conquer and GI Joe.
How do you realistically make OP powers so the xenomorphs can actually be a universe-level threat and not just a nuisance in the confines of a spaceship? All without somebody saying "That's stupid, that's unrealistic."

the acid blood works really well because it's just a really strange biologicl function.
If the alien can imitate human voices, that means the film will have to show the alien speaking in a woman's voice. And that would just be funny.

the fact that aliens made them such chumps that would die to fucking buckshot and .223 retroactively messed up alien

like the idea in alien that ash would tell them to use fire and fire would actually work and wasn't just a joke to him, a psychopath that worshipped the alien and intended to murder every human on board. then cameron is like I see fire works and they're blowtorching aliens in the action movie sequel. Because he's a fucking moron you see, do you understand, it's a sabotage sequel

Itโ€™s a life form that can quickly adapt to its environment, survive for centuries through hibernation, and is smarter than the average animal. I think Ash was mostly talking out of his ass. They knew barely anything about the Alien when he said that. They didn't know whether it eats or not, where the eggs come from, what it's weaknesses are etc. All he knew is that at the very least the eggs were able to survive for centuries, maybe even millennia, that it reproduced by killing and that its blood was acid.
>By the way was it ever stated what the hell the Nostromo crew actually were? miners? literal trashmen? truckets with valuable ore cargo?

That's what it seems and it is since Alien 4 confirmed the retards didn't even account for the acid blood despite Weyland supposedly being such a big fanatic over the Alien he did not know the first thing about it. Truly delusional redneck being fascinated by a spider or parasitoid wasp that's normal in the insect world. And them saying the silicon-based lifeform is weak to fire like it's made out of chitin was hilarious.

If I was to take Ash's claim to heart, but do a 180 from Cameron ... then I'd employ a lot of MC Escher mathematical stuff to it to mess with the simpletons. You see, the Alien's DNA is the most perfect math in history and he lives in a MC Escher world that doesn't make sense to a human living in it, but it makes perfect sense to a being of pure math.

Also I'd evolve the xenomorph to just be warframes from Warframe. Not even their users & creators understand how those flesh golems work.

The only thinig more pretentious and up their ass than a philosophy major and a chemical biologist is a faggot mathematician, but not even the useful architecture guy, but pure algebra retard who works on nothing but theories.
I've heard one of these pseuds tell me "Everything is math" like some religious nutjob saying "God is in all of us". I think it would fit Ash's claims perfectly. Just like Cube's movies where the audience was left scratching their heads "are they making fun of us non-math fags?"

AVP vs Killer of Killers which is better? they're both comic book as hell with AVP even borrowing the predator pyramid idea directly from the comic books.

There's also THE OTHER AVP2 that's regarded better than AVP1 that also has a lot of inspirations from comic books complete with the cartoony look. If anyone wants a 10 minute visual novel story check it out.
