On the one hand, I think the Superman movie looks like crap. And I if it succeeds, Gunn will be given more freedom to do terrible stuff.

On the other hand, if iGunn Superman bombs or is panned, WB will never trust a White Superman to ever make money and will make the next Superman black. Probably adapt JJ Abrams black Superman pitch. Or worse, WB will bring in Superman’s gay son, Jon Kent, to try and get the Invincible crowd.

So no matter what happens, it is going to be an awful outcome

I want it to fail so that Gunn never works in hollywood ever again and hopefully WB just gives up on this cinematic universe nonsense. From the trailers it's evident Gunn doesn't understand the character at all and is writing another manchild like Peacemaker or Starlord instead of an actually cool dude.
I don't want it to fail because Snyderpajeets will get uppity again and take it as evidence that their hack director's way was ever any better. If it was, we wouldn't be in this mess a decade later.
