A clumsy interpretation that feels riddled with executive interference and has some weird plot holes but it's the best possible big studio adaptation we could have gotten considering

it's a Johnathan Nolan show so that should tell you everything you need to know. He's very much in the JJ Abrams school of storytelling.
The whole thing culminates in a retarded reveal that an insurance company was so desperate to pay out its customers' apocalypse policy that they ended the world. Something that rings hollow to anyone who has ever interacted with insurance and undermines everything about the show.
But once you know that the plot isn't worth your time, it's possible to enjoy the other things like Ella being cute.

If you larp as someone from an alternate timeline where fallout is super serious buisness, you won't like it. If you are able to accept that there is no way it couldn't be green screens and reddit than you should be able to appreciate it for what it is. It was decent. But very shallow. Highlight of the show was just seeing the NCR flag with the score kicking in. Also the lead actresses is extraordinarily attractive. But it also felt like they were "testing the waters" - basically like here is a very slight story with a tiny bit of Fallout lore to see if people liked it. And...for me personally, there was a huge fatal flaw to the storytelling that we see in a lot of shows and movies now;
Coming towards the conclusion, we learn that all our main characters, whose lives are separated by huge lengths of time and geographical distances all share intimately related origins and all played massive, crucial roles in the formation of the world - essentially instead of Every Man characters, everyone is The Chosen One.
