Hell, there's no reason for a weird trilogy structure with an origin movie and a final showdown/retirement either. The whole point is he's caught in this sisyphean loop and is just as crazy as the villains. They should just keep making movies with different actors without explaining the changes or diverging timelines like the pre-Craig James Bond movies did.

Wrong. The first question one asks after the Wayne murders is, where's the security the elites walk with? Why walk with the common folk? The murders are important. It shows the Waynes as people that care and want to be a part of their community, so they bumped elbows with everyday folks. To skip that is to thinks Batman is just a rich brat that came from clueless bubble living parents.

Origin stories are ultra important for heroes. The hero makes selfless choices during the aftermath. We need to see that. However not important for villains because evil is evil no matter what. I don't need to see a villains origin, because I know he's going to make evil choices. This was brilliantly displayed in TDK. Nolan knew as much.

Yes it did have an origin story. It tied it to the Joker origin story (we don't need) in the Bruce Wayne Batcave scene when he looking through the news clippings of his parents death. So it actually had two origin stories.
