Genuinely, people who watch historical epics want to see the same shit: slow pans of epic vistas, Shakesperian acting and monologues, a well-spoken moralfag gary-stu hero.
Guy Ritchie's fast-paced montages and cockney dialogue conflicted with all of that.

it was hard carried by jude law and had a semi functional sequence that looked straight out of dark souls 3 but overall it was a crap movie, too choreographed and digitally flat. it was a standout in a dead genre.

It's pretty much reddit meets netflix meets globohomo feminism. Basically it's feminism the movie made to hypnotise the viewer into thinking "white men bad" and "POC women good". There isn't really much more to this dreary film than that.
