>>212455638I enjoyed it, the guy sucked and cheated on her so getting a divorce made sense.
The problem was that she escalated everything when she met her lawyer who was played by none other than Laura Dern.
This lawyer convinces her that she did nothing wrong and that her husband is literally hitler and that she needs to give her all her money to take EVERYTHING away from him.
No child visits, take the house and dog, his career, and impossible alimony payments.
The guy is confused because he thought they agreed to keep it amicable. He had a shitty lawyer but instead has to switch to the expensive lawyer who wipes out his savings just to survive the onslaught.
Essentially the wife ruined both their lives, wiped out their savings, pursued the most unhealthy time wasting process only to agree to an amicable split at the end. The guy had an actual career and had to put everything on pause for her psychotic break, while she moved in with her mother and stayed unemployed and used the money she earned being his star actress to essentially turn him into her eternal paycheck.
It's memed for this scene because she thinks she's completely justified in everything she has done, but he tells her everything she has cost him, how much she stands to take from him, and how much stress and pain shes caused for no reason.
