And its not really batwank, there's the fight with superman at the end where he's got a kryptonite ace up his sleeve and an iron man armor just so he can piss super man off enough that he hits batman hard enough that he thinks he kills him because he needed the batman killed off so he could go underground and start training the next generation.
Miller explicitly wanted to do an old batman story because he grew up with the comic, and he finally hit the thirty-something that bruce wayne is in continuity and instead of making peace with getting older he wanted to push the clock back so he could still be younger than batman.

I semi agree with the "plot>everything else" being retarded, as a huge chunk of the non-gringo world cinema is just aesthetics and themes, with little to no plot. That being said, I'd never go to a turbocapeshit movie expecting that, and surely wouldn't belive anyone else would lmao. I like BvS, it's got noice visuals, you could make a wallpaper out of most shots in that movie, I like the sound design and the Batfleck design, but everything else is just nonsensical shit for the kind of movie it is.
