The movies have this bizarre morality where killing the "normal" dinos is seen as a bad thing but killing the mutant monster freaks is fine.
That's why I think they keep putting them in the movies desu.
Even the original trilogy was adverse to anyone gunning down the dinos despite being hunted by them.

I didn't care so much about the Altoids because I expected them to have some payoff eventually (they didn't)
But when they stepped into a 17 year old gas station with a ton of chips and candy in perfect condition, with modern labels and still on the shelves I rolled my eyes really hard

The only reason that gas station is in the movie is so they can have a scene with some product placement in it. It makes 0 fucking sense to have a standard american gas station on an island only occupied by some bio-genetic researchers.

No, the Freak Mutants exist because Universal can copyright and trademark them for merchandising. Slapping a JP brand onto a normal dinosaur isn't enough when toy companies will just rip off Jurassic Park's normal dinosaur designs for toys anyways. Pic related.

My headcanon is that when InGen made them for the first time, that they were considered failures because they didn't look like the Spinosaurus as depicted in contemporary science (A long snouted T-Rex with a sail). Remember, in universe, these were made in the 1980's. The Spinosaurus in JP-III was their attempt to "fix" the animal.

Was the D-Rex made by the original InGen team or by Masrani?
It says "17 years ago" so I assume that it was meant to be the Masrani Corporation (Jurassic World takes place in 2015, so 2009 makes sense) but there are big InGen logos in the background
It couldn't have been in the 90s because the tech was too faux modern...

The token evil corporate character was so weird. From his first scene it was obvious he was gonna be the heartless, evil human villain who would be eaten by a dino at the end, but it looked like they were building him to become less callous as the film went on (he was bonding with the main characters, observed the titanosaurs with awe contrary to his first scene when he couldn't care any less about the dying sauropod and looked like he was gonna regret not helping the girl in the ship), only for him to be the same token evil corporate Jurassic Park character we have seen in all the other movies.

I don't even blame him for the girl falling overboard.
The ship was listing and he was trying not to fall himself.
The entire thing is filmed to make him way more sympathetic than he should be.

Honestly he didn't do anything really evil except not helping the girl and escaping at the end with the blood samples, but by that point I don't blame him since the chances of survival were slim.

the ingen people in Rebirth were experimenting new shit for Jurassic World sometimes before 2010. Big pharma clearly says in Rebirth that the audience of the park got easily tired of "classic" dinos. D-rex is basically the retarded cousin of Indominus
