Yet, no one ever calls these games โwokeโ or โpropaganda,โ because the creators are not trying to convey any specific message to the players.
When audiences play games or watch movies where the protagonist is forced into fighting and scavenging from others, the protagonist may sometimes do morally questionable things in order to survive. Sometimes, because the environment is severely damaged and resources are scarce, the audience can feel the preciousness of everyday peace. No reasonable person would ever say these scenarios are โwokeโ or โpropaganda.โ
When the creator wants to use a movie or game to convey propaganda,
the movie/game ceases to be an art or entertainment form. It becomes a tool for propaganda.
So itโs super disingenuous and ragebaiting when activists say 'everything is political.'
