The Americans actually discontinued that method of execution because it was deemed cruel and unusual - intimates were surviving for up to 20 minutes. Yet the Germans were doing 1000+ people at a time in less than 15 minutes, according to 'eye witnesses', and they were using far lower concentrations and had no distribution system. With the American gas chamber, the gas was produced in another room and fanned throughout the chamber.

There was also an entire protocol for getting the body out of there without anyone else getting poisoned. Traces of the gas would remain, contained in hair and the lungs. Yet there's no eye witnesses reports of people getting poisoned while pulling dead bodies out of the German gas chambers. Also, the people in the American gas chamber were put in diapers. People being executed usually defecate and urinate themselves. Yet there was no eye witness reports of people having to clean up after a room of 1000+ people were executed.

You can see why they won't ever show it, despite releasing at least two holocaust movies every 365 days

Reminder holocaust experts were put on trial and were unable to demonstrate the possibility of gas chambers ever being in germany and basically had to admit no part of the holocaust lie was true. This was in the 90's during the trial of ernst zundel, in canada. Since that time the holocaust narrative has been unequivocally debunked yet people still pretend it happened. It's pretty crazy

Johnathan Glazer is based for making Sexy Beast and Under the Skin but I genuinely fell asleep in the cinema watching Zone of Interest. It felt like he was close to hitting the mark but he went too far with the subtleness. Outside of the river and the occasional sound you wouldn't have even known shit was happening right next door. It was a dumb decision. The cast was decent but none of them really stood out either. The set design and cinematography was cool I will say. Overall it was a firm 5/10

disregarding the fact the holocaust never happened, i still found it pretty distasteful of the filmmaker to rip off Act of Killing with the retching at the end

Yeah but how long after the chamber is essentially done burning the body until it can be used again? Ultimately how long does this system take to burn a body if it involves loading, heating up, burning, cooling down, unloading in a cyclical manner?
