It doesn't take more than 90 minutes to complete a workout. Besides, you grow when you rest, and unless you're loaded up on gear, you aren't in the gym more than 3-4 times a week else you just see diminishing returns. Going to the gym won't even make you a hulking mass either, and those "average build" guys you see probably do hit the gym. It's just that they aren't on gear under perfect lighting shirtless to show it off.

I say 90 minutes because it depends how much rest time you operate into it.
If you do 3-5x8-12 for each exercise with like 1-2 minutes of rest, then yeah it'll take you around 45 minutes.
That routine is very much for beginners as well, but it does work. I'd make those squats into front squats for better core activation, and deadlifts aren't all that important for hypertrophy (which is what most guys are after).

General rule for reps:
>5x3 for strength.
>8x3 for strength+hypertrophy.
>12x3 for hypertrophy.

You should start with building strength, and after you've built a solid foundation, you can begin to pivot towards hypertrophy.

And yes, squat with weight. Begin with the bar and add little by little. Add 5lbs every week. Go on youtube and learn proper form. If you're retarded and do it wrong you can nuke your back for the rest of your life.

And you do monday, wednesday, friday. Don't be retarded and burn yourself out like the vast majority of beginners. Rest is just as important as lifting

Without weight, you'll have no way to track progress. You need to lift big to get big, simple as.

Depending on the muscle group, you'll need at least 48-72 hours before you should hit them again. So you could technically do 3 days in a row, but imho, you're better off spreading it out.
