>Cyberpunk Nightcrawler
Are you excited?

Yes because I liked the first one
They'll most likely make it gay and lame though
The fact that Trigger is doing it again gives me faith

Trigger doing nothing but sequels now is upsetting.

Funny how cyberpunk is a distraction from actual panopticon drone dystopia we live in.

We live in a cyberpunk society but without any of the cool aesthetics to go with it, choom

We absolutely do not, there is not a single thing that looks like cyberpunk and it's all just media lies, from neural interface to implants. We live in a world of portable cctv devices that come with an array of eavesdropping techniques and nothing more. We live in a niggercattle world where you every step is extensivelly documented tagged and analyzed and it's going to get much worse but not much different.

What cyberpunk movies did not get is that there will be zero freedom when it comes to communicating and congregating with like minded people. There will be zero chance for people to express themselves in any corner of the digital or physical world.

its not just Trigger but the director of episode 6 taking the main director position.
So it has potential to be really really good.

the big difference is that its still governments and governments institutions that force us to pay them for fucking us over instead of the promised megacorps.

It is that to an extent - big shift that is happening is private glowie companies such as Palantir taking over. And simultaneously a few other ones as well. Nowadays you can rent out a giant HR company which is essentially surveilance for private businesses.

The other more important thing is that cyberpunk isn't this really cool future, it's jingoism powered by social networks. You won't get interesting light displays, you will get heraldry, fake tradition, drone swarms that create faces of dead kings and in case of America UFC fights on the White House lawn.

oh shit they're doing a sequel to edgerunner? fucking DANK, i loved the first one. i also loved the game, but i think i benefited by playing it on PC several years after release, fully patched and with the DLC. i find night city to be extremely compelling, if a little too edgy at times.

We skipped right over the cyberpunk era into a post-cyberpunk dystopia from something like The Diamond Age.

I would like a Diamond Age adaptation just for the Feed vs. Seed memes.
