I watched the first episode of this because it was shilled here so much
Not only did nothing happen, but I had to double check that I didn't accidentally start at the wrong season because in the pilot they talk about how the quest is already over. I then thought that this is one of these shows where the first scene is set in the future, but then it flashes back and you see the quest. nope.
Does anything happen in later episodes?

Anytime I see anyone complaining about this show being boring etc, that sets off my Brown Alert. Because browns are the most incapable of comprehending a world where people are mostly good and honest while the stories are straightforward but cleverly developed through believable, unforced dialogue.

Browns want cynicism, drama, big set pieces and millennial quips.

Yeah but something like attack on titans has a unique setting, Evangelion has these various angel designs, even a joke shitpost like bobobo goes from a forest to an evil tower to a ruined city to an amusement park. Anime is a visual medium, even more so than movies because its a cartoon so you can draw anything without being restrained by reality.
But here its just generic, uninspired, bland set pieces, boring enemy designs, the "demons" are just samefaces with horns, its all inside this extremely sterile world that looks like the cheapest shit they could get gooks or pajeets to draw for them.
Total slop.
