Because dinos and the concept of jewrassic park are cool? I'd like to see an r rated faithful adaptation of the first book. One where we see babbys get eaten by compys, nerdy disemboweled, regis torn to pieces, and muldoon blowing up raptors with a rocket launcher.

The Jurassic Park book filmed faithfully would be great. Every single time they changed it made it worse.

The opening chapter, for example ("Bite of the raptor") with the guy being helicoptered in after being savaged and the doctor trying to save him and then noticing his camera isn't where he put it down . . . clearly written with cinema in mind. And would have been 100x better than the crap they actually did.

Weirdly Crichton is credited as adapting his own book but it's clear that either other people "helped" or he was told what he had to do (stupid trite character arcs, Richard Attenborough has to be basically nice, happy ending, feminist crap, etc).

I hate that it was successful because they went the complete wrong direction. More mutant shit. More mercenary bullshit. Uninteresting nothing characters. Now they’ll use this to make a trilogy of these fucking losers.
No real idea behind it either. New island new dinos just forget why. The consequences of dinos everywhere on the modern world hit the reset button. They all lost the will to live and died like Padme.

The whole book was imo. So many little details like that, that would have been a perfect end to each scene. I think you're right about chrichton, despite being 7 feet tall, he was a bit of a nerd, and he got bullied by some manlet like spielberg into making his survival technothriller horror novel into a family friendly movie.

Well as far as the books were concerned, Hammond had planned on building at least two more jurassic park islands(one in the azores and one near guam). And it seems entirely believable because he was able to get funding for all of it from various foreign investors. Consider the saudis and all the obscene gargantuan things they build, just because blowing $50 billion is nothing to them.

Dinorasus made us humble for 250 million years straight. We have the uter most respect for these animals of the distant past.

If anything, the government was probably responsible for bailing them out every time

Same reason people love Jesus.
Made up shit is more interesting than reality.

The only good one is the first one because of the scene where they subtly tell the audience the dinosaurs are fake and they're chimeras.

>denying jesus while also denying scientifically proven creatures
You're a special kind of retarded. Funniest thing is, Jesus himself existed historically too.
