Thats how it works, if your dad owns and runs a sucssessful cornershop then you'll probably be asked to help out as a kid and learn the ropes, just by being there, when you're after a job to make some money you'll either just work for your dad in the shop because its easy, or be a highly attractive applicant for jobs in other shops because you've been doing this job for years anyway and can hit the ground running. If you want to start your own shop your dad will be on hand for advice and you will probably know a lot of suppliers already as you're Mr Patel's kid.

Same with nepo actors, its a lot easier to get roles and get on the first rung of the ladder because your parents can get you signed to an agent right away, you know all the directors personally already because they're "special friends" of your mum, and you probably already have a media profile due to being photographed on holidays with your mum where she got her baps out for paparazzi.

They'll only get further than child actor or horror films if they are actually any good though, so Hollywood does some gate keeping.
